Pros: Good picture quality, even when playing back recorded HD (but it's not "true" HD quality)
Cons: Noisy drive
The Bottom Line: Bottom line, this is a good choice for anyone who needs a basic DVD recorder that can record digital channels but doesn't need HD quality.

Pros: Cheap at auction. Free Digital TV programming with 5.1 surround. Records like a VCR.
Cons: Confusing navigation. Tuner glitches when channel surfing. No 5.1 recording.
The Bottom Line: If you can get a bargain, it's a good DTV tuner and DVD recorder, but you will have to deal with frustrating navigation. It was cheap. It works.

Pros: What good is 1080p up convert when the HDMI cable won't interface with the TV?
Cons: I wish I could say something good about this unit.
