Pros: Base, Aesthetics, Sound quality.
Cons: Size of subwoofer, hard wired PC input, Mids (speakers sound deep)
The bottom line: For the price you can't go wrong. The klipsch 2.1 set is the only thing that compares, but that starts at about $150.

I just ripped the packaging of my set of brand new Logitech z2300 2.1 Audio System. Now I say system because this set compares to the alpine audio system I have installed in my car. I paid $100 after shipping from www.pagecomputers.com. I listen to a lot of rap music, so keep in mind my reviews from the stand point of rap music, although I have played some rock music and the system still sounds incredible. My first impression was that no matter where I was standing in the room, the speakers sound like surround me. I was deciding between the Klipsch set and this set, I'm really happy with my decision. Base is spectacular, it's not too hard where it distorts the base, but it's just right. The base is very fulfilling and surrounds the whole atmosphere around you. On previous reviews some people complained about the mids on the speakers. I can see where there coming from, the speakers sound "deep", but for the type of music I listen to its perfect. Now if youre a big fan of classical music or easy listening, this may not be the set up for you, but for rap and punk rock it's ideal. As from an aesthetic stand point, the speakers look very nice. My only complaint about them is they seem to be laid back and pointing upwards. It would have been nice if Logitech provided a way to move the speakers on a vertical aspect, but it's not a big deal. The plug in from the wired controlled to the computer input is wired. The only problem with this is that it's harder to disassemble and I've found in the past that these come lose and break. If it wasn't hard wired you could just replace the cord, but with this system if the line was to break youd probably have to replace the system. My only other complaint is that the sub woofer is very long and hard to fit in a tight area, but that's the price you going to have to pay for 120 watts of base. Overall though A++, for $100 there's no other system in its class that compares.
