Pros: Very nice for watching movies on the plane.
Cons: Skip Vista and order with XP
The bottom line: Would highly recomend for someone who wants to use for the internet, email, watching movies and doing your finances.
I purchased this laptop directly from Dell refurbished. It showed up looking like it was brand new. I have had to problems with it at all except that I hate Windows Vista and that when the laptop goes into hibernate it will lock up when you awake it. I would recommend that you order with windows xp instead and set the laptop not to go into hibernation. Vista has all kinds of software compatibility issues and some of my programs won't even install. I had paid for the longer lasting battery but I don't see where it has lasted much longer then the standard battery does.
I also use this to burn cd's and dvd's and does a fairly decent job...The one item that I absoluty love is the wifi...I take it to work with me and can access the internet with ease. It has been so simple that I have cancelled my internet at home and simply use it from work or the local coffee shop. The touch pad has at times been slightly sensitive and decides it would like to move around by itself. Be careful with the screen because I have scratched my by just cleaning it. Since then I have bought a screen protector to use. Other then what I mentioned I believe this is a good laptop for the price
